Volunteer for the Advocacy Center's Hotline

The Advocacy Center is currently accepting applications for our January 2025 Hotline Volunteer Class! Hotline volunteers help to run the 24/7 hotline that we offer as a resource to our community members. If you are interested in making a difference in your community and supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence, you should apply to be a hotline volunteer today!

Hotline volunteers go through an extensive, 40-hour training and always have the support of a staff advocate during their hotline shifts. Hotline shifts are done remotely, so you can volunteer in the comfort of your own home! Hotline volunteers are required to make a minimum two-semester/one-year commitment to the role, must complete four shifts each month, with one of these shifts being either on the weekend or overnight, and must complete ten hours of in-service training throughout the year.

Apply using this link! If you have any questions about the role, training schedule, or anything else, reach out to vbarics@actompkins.org
