1. Why did you choose Cornell?
Nature plays a large role in my life satisfaction. Cornell's gorge-integrated campus was the only one that truly satisfied my desire to be in nature.
2. How did you decide to minor in FGSS?
I was lucky enough to take a first-year writing seminar called Modernist Feminisms and knew instantly that I was undereducated in FGSS and wanted to learn more.
3. How does FGSS compliment your major field of study?
My FGSS classes teach me how to be a better person. I think of them as educating me for the world, not just for the classroom. My major, like most hard sciences, does not put much emphasis on how to treat people and FGSS is the perfect compliment to that vacancy.
4. What are your future career and/or educational goals?
I am seeking to pursue agriculture/community engagement work in Latin America.
5. What has been your favorite FGSS class?
My favorite FGSS class was Professor Juffer's Feminist Theory and Practice, which dealt with the vulnerability politics of refugees on the US southern border.
6. Favorite memory at Cornell?
I don't think I could choose one specific memory, but nearly all the times I've been hiking or swimming with friends are at the top.
7. What positive advice would you give to a new student?
Don’t make it about you or your career. Chose your field of study because you love it and are excited by it.
