The Women’s and Gender Studies program at the College of Charleston invites applications for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. We seek an innovative scholar of women's, gender, and/or sexuality studies with a focus on queer studies, trans/queer of color critique studies, and/or LGBTQ+ studies, with a rigorously interdisciplinary and intersectional approach. Graduate Fellowships and Opportunities:

Hsien and Daisy Yen Wu Scholarships (Spring 2022)
Several awards of up to $2,000 each will be made from the fund this spring. The selection committee determines the amount of each award.
All current, registered Cornell graduate students in a Ph.D. program who have completed at least three semesters of study are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to students beyond the second year of study. Awards will be based on demonstrated academic ability and performance, with some consideration given to character and financial need. In keeping with the endowment agreement established by the donors and the university, preference is given to students of personal or familial Chinese citizenship. Previous recipients of a grant from this fund are ineligible to apply.
Each field may nominate one student to the Graduate School for this award. Nominations should include a letter of support from the Director of Graduate Studies, 1-2 letters of recommendation from faculty members familiar with the student, and any other information that would be helpful to the selection committee in evaluating the student. A brief one- to two-page personal statement from the student may be submitted but is not required.
Nominations accepted through December 10, 2021, with awards announced at the beginning of the new year. Please send nomination materials to grad_funding@cornell.edu.

The Africa Fund Fellowship (2022-23 academic year)
Ph.D. students who are citizens of an African country are eligible for this fellowship. This one or two-semester fellowship includes a stipend, full tuition, and Cornell individual student health insurance. A 1-page nomination letter from a DGS or committee chair is required. US citizens and permanent residents are not eligible.
