This semester, the Cornell Anti-Detention Alliance (CADA), a student club sponsored by FGSS, has been engaged in supporting immigrant justice and advocating for detainees at the Batavia Detention Center. In October, CADA members visited Batavia, bringing together both new and returning volunteers to show solidarity with those in detention.
Building on this momentum, the group has scheduled another visit for November 16th and continues its partnership with Aaron Krupp and Justice for Migrant Families. Through these collaborations, CADA provides essential support to detainees, including commissary and book donations. Additionally, CADA is organizing an upcoming commissary drive to raise funds, with plans to partner with another organization to increase their outreach and support for detained individuals.
