Cornell graduate students whose expertise includes feminist, gender, and sexuality studies are encouraged to apply for the FGSS First Year Writing Seminar Awards and/or the FGSS Teaching Assistantships.
FIRST-YEAR WRITING SEMINAR AWARDS
The FGSS First-Year Writing Seminar Award will be offered to two selected graduate students each fall at Cornell for demonstrated excellence in teaching. The awards will provide tuition and a stipend, equivalent to the current teaching assistantship stipend.
Applications will be available November 1, 2025.
TEACHING ASSISTANTSHIPS
FGSS has a limited number of teaching assistantships each year and is particularly interested in graduate students at Cornell who would benefit from working with our faculty and serving as a TA in our core curriculum introductory classes in the fall and spring. Applications will be available November 1, 2025.
Qualified graduate students may apply to both TA positions.
