The requirements will vary according to each student’s needs and desires in shaping their academic program, and the judgment of the LGBT Studies field faculty member. Generally, students should take the following steps:

Select a member of the graduate field in LGBT Studies to serve on their special committee, and add the faculty member to their committee via the relevant committee change form on the Graduate School's website.
